Newton Aquatic Center is opening for the season Friday, May 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM and will close for the season on Monday, September 2, 2024

​Hours of operation:
SWIM - $4 (Ages 4 and over)

Monday-Sunday    Open swim 12pm - 6pm

(When students return to school in August, the pool will be open for water aerobics for the morning sessions.  General admission on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm - 6pm until close for the season.)


​Monday - Friday    7am & 8am

Tues & Thurs         7pm

we do not accept credit cards or debit cards.

Pool Rental

Wednesday-Sunday   7:00pm-9:00pm     

Cost is $200.00- a $75.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and will be applied to the balance of the rental

Few Saturday morning rentals are available from 10:00am-12:00pm

The pool is closed to the public during pool rental.  The party must be booked 2 weeks in advance and they are booked first-come first-served basis.  Outside food and drinks may be brought in for the party, but most be consumed in the concession area.  No alcohol is allowed.

Swim Lessons
Private Lessons are offered throughout the summer at various times for your convenience.  They are $40.00- 4 sessions, 30 minutes each.

The NAC strives to provide a SAFE, CLEAN, FRIENDLY, FAMILY orientated facility.  In order to do so, we must have a few rules to follow.

-Management reserves the right to refuse admittance or reject anyone from the pool premises failing to comply to any regulation.
-Fighting, profanity, bullying and any rough or boisterous behavior will not be tolerated.
-No smoking (includes vaping or the like)
-No Alcohol may be in possession or consumed.
-Children 13 years of age or entering 7th grade can enter.
-Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by and adult 15 years of age or older.
-Must be 48 inches tall to go down the water slide (no float, life jacket, goggles can be worn going down the slide & one person at a time)
-No outside food or drinks (except for water)
-All food and drinks (except for water) must be consumed in the concession area.
-Swim diapers are required for small children.
-NAC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
-Additional rules are posted at the facility.

RIVERSIDE RECREATION Batting cages, miniature golf and disc golf

7 Days a Week          12pm-7pm


Riverside Recreation Miniature Golf
$2.50 (13 years of age & under)
$3.00 (14 years of age & older)

--While miniature golfing, please stay off of the bricks
--Do not mess in ponds or gardening

​Riverside Recreation Batting Cages
Two machines (45mph & 60mph)
$0.25 (6 pitches)
$1.00 (24 pitches)

--We prefer you to bring your own helmets and bats
--All batters must wear a helmet and closed toed shoes
--Batters must stay behind the white line at all times
--Non-batters are to stay out of the cages at all times

Disc Golf
Discs are available for rental.  $10.00 rental fee per disc (will be refunded once disc is returned)

Disc Golf Course (MAP

The Embarras River Tourism Council has purchased nine basket disc golf equipment for Peterson Park.  The course is in the east area of the park.  There are 9 orange tees and 9 blue tees.  Discs can be rented at Riverside Recreation, or bring your own. 



Riverside Recreation will close in bad weather conditions.

Peterson Park has playground equipment, miniature golf, disc golf, picnic tables and shelters, restrooms, sand volleyball, basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pit, hills for snow sledding and beautiful scenery. A canoe ramp for access to the Embarras River was installed in the fall of 2007. 

​A new aquatic center opened in 2010 with a state-of-the-art bathhouse and concession area, 90' spiral water slide, wade-in zero depth area, lap pool and diving area with two one-meter diving platforms.
