Newton Aquatic center


The Newton Aquatic Center CLOSED
Concessions are available during pool operating hours. No food or beverage may be carried into the Aquatic Center. It opens from Noon until 1 PM for lap swim and therapy. It opens to the general public from 1 PM to 8 PM daily. Children 3 years of age and younger will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying parent, guardian or adult relative. Children must be at least 12 years of age or entering 6th grade to be left at the pool unattended. Free WIFI available.

Pool Classes & Activities

Pool is open seven days a week:

  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for Adult Lap Swim
  • 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM General Admission 

Adult lap swimming from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM daily

Designed for adults aged 19 years and older. Swim laps, walk, run or workout in the pool. NO ONE under the age of 19 will be admitted during this time. $3.00 per hour or season pass or adult 15 swim pass.

Water Aerobics from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Monday - Friday or from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 PM - 7:00 PM

 Each class is $3.00 or purchase of an adult season pass.

Private Lessons: 

  • Are available for $40.00 - 4 sessions, 30 minutes each
  • Private Lessons are offered throughout the Summer at various times for your convenience
  • ​Private lessons are scheduled on an individual basis

Private Pool Party - $125.00 per hour (2 hour minimum) The pool is closed to the public and used privately. The party must be booked 2 weeks in advance and a non-refundable deposit of $75 is required.  The facility may be rented on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting at 6:00 pm.  We will close to the public at 5:30 pm on those days when a private party is scheduled.

A notice will be posted one week in advance of the party, announcing that the pool will be closed for a private party. Reservations must be made at the pool during regular pool hours.

Half Price Party's are available during regular hours and the pool is open to the public.  You must have at least 15 patrons for a half price party.

Batting cages, miniature golf and disc golf

Disc Golf Course (MAP

This summer the Embarras River Tourism Council has purchased nine basket disc golf equipment for Peterson Park.  The course is in the east area of the park.  There are 9 orange tees and 9 blue tees.  Discs can be rented at the pool in the park or bring your own. 



Peterson Park has playground equipment, miniature golf, disc golf, picnic tables and shelters, restrooms, sand volleyball, basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pit, hills for snow sledding and beautiful scenery. A canoe ramp for access to the Embarras River was installed in the fall of 2007. A new aquatic center opened in 2010 with a state-of-the-art bathhouse and concession area, 90' spiral water slide, wade-in zero depth area, lap pool and diving area with two one-meter diving platforms.
