Greetings!

With the great weather we've been experiencing and the opportunity to be outside evenings and weekends, April was a blur for most of us.

During the month of May and especially over Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who have gone before us.  May their memories inspire us to do great things for our families, friends and community, and may we remember gratefully those who lost their lives to win and keep our freedom.

Work on our new subdivision (Woods Addition) has begun.  As you travel down the Buck Grove Road, look east and southeast of the Southern Baptist Church.  We won't wait for the development to be completed before lots are sold.  I anticipate these half-acre lots being listed very soon.  Please watch and listen for more details or contact our local realtors.

Cobblestone Inn and Suites hopes to be in Newton soon.  If we haven't talked with you and you have interest in being an investor, let me know.

The aquatic center will open Memorial Day weekend.

As always, Catch the Spirit!  Live the Dream!

Newton is located a short drive from two major interstates and several airports accommodating small planes as well as commuter flights. Locally, state routes 33 and 130 are both class two truck routes and rail services are provided by both the Indiana Railroad and Illinois Central Railroad.

Friendly neighborhoods and a progressive school system make you feel at home right away, and there is always something to occupy your time. Hunting lodges, two parks (including an aquatic center and skate park), a golf course and a drive-in are just some of our recreation options.

If you are thinking of making Newton your home or the home of your business, or if you are just passing through, we hope you enjoy our mix of small town ideals and big city ambition!
